Zerubbabel Promised as the LORD’s Signet Ring
Era: Exile & Return
520 BC
Passages: Haggai 2:20-23
Zerubbabel is promised a Messianic-like role as God overturns nations.
God tells Zerubbabel that He will shake the heavens and earth, overthrowing kingdoms. In that day, Zerubbabel will be like the LORD’s signet ring—symbol of authority and chosen favor. This points forward to the Messianic lineage culminating in Christ.
