Solomon's Blessing.
12. Then Solomon spoke to reassure the priests and people that the cloud was a sign of God's approval, rather than an ominous warning. The Lord had spoken through His actions, as He had done in the past (Exodus 13:21; 24:16; Numbers 9:15).
13. With the cloud approaching, Solomon addressed God as if welcoming Him into the newly built temple, saying, "I have surely built you an house." This was a declaration of faith that God would inhabit and dwell in this permanent dwelling place, which had been prepared for His reception.
14. Turning to face the people, who were standing in reverence, Solomon expressed his fervent praise to God for fulfilling His promise (2 Samuel 7:6-16).
