Ahishar was in charge of the palace household, serving as its steward or chamberlain.

Adoniram, also known as Adoram (2 Samuel 20:24; 1 Kings 12:18), or Hadoram (2 Chronicles 10:18), was responsible for overseeing the tribute. This involved managing the compulsory labor required from the people, rather than collecting money or goods (compare 1 Kings 5:13-14).
