12 When she heard this, Sarah laughed to herself. Her faith had been weakened by the long delay, and she found it hard to believe that she would have a child at her age. When confronted about her laughter, she denied it, adding dishonesty to her unbelief. This was a serious offense (Acts 5:4), but God's grace ultimately saved her (Romans 9:18).
