The second cleansing of the temple occurred during Jesus' final visit to Jerusalem, just as the first had taken place on His initial visit (John 2:13-22).

The term "den of thieves" accurately describes the merchants who had set up shop in the temple, prioritizing profit over principle. In contrast, Jesus had previously referred to this area as a "house of merchandise," but that description no longer applied.

Jesus continued teaching daily, seeking opportunities to share His message with those around Him (Luke 19:47).

The people were deeply attentive and focused on hearing Jesus' words (Luke 19:48).
