There they speak of His neglect of His people in their misery; here they go farther and deny His providence (Ps 10:11), so that they may sin fearlessly.

God responds to Ezekiel's question by leaving the difficulty unsolved, instead vindicating His justice by showing it did not exceed their sin. He wants us to humbly acquiesce in His judgments and wait and trust.

10. My eye is on them to show them their mistake in saying, "The Lord does not see."

Recompense will come upon their head, matching the evil they have done (Pr 1:31).

11. I have acted as you commanded me - a characteristic of God's Messiah (Joh 17:4), also seen in angels (Ps 103:21) and fulfilled by the apostles (Mr 6:30).
