2Ki 10:18-29 He Destroys the Worshippers of Baal.

19. Jehu summons all the prophets of Baal to gather in one place. This was likely done because their numbers had been significantly reduced due to Elijah and Elisha's ministry, as well as King Joram's neglect of the worship. Jehu's intention was not to genuinely honor Baal but to eliminate his followers, a move that aligns with Mosaic law and is fitting for a constitutional king of Israel.

22. The priests of Baal were given ceremonial robes, probably made of white byssus, which were kept in a special wardrobe within the temple. Jehu's plan was to lure them into a trap, much like tragic events in Eastern history where entire groups have been massacred.

29. Despite his zeal for the Lord, Jehu did not take his reforms further than he deemed necessary. He believed it would be unwise to encourage his subjects to travel to Jerusalem, so he reinstated the symbolic worship of the calves established by Jeroboam.
